I'm not one to use online dating sites. I feel the best way to get to know someone is by spending time with that person. Other than that I really have no idea of what to say. If you have any ideas of what I should put down in my self summary feel free to let me know.

I thoroughly enjoy filling things out, however, when asked to fill out a description of myself in a few words...I get stuck. Either I write too little or too much.

In a few words, I'm pretty quirky and I guess a bit off the wall. Typically atypical. I guess I have an unusual sense of humor, or so I'm told. I think it's just a mix of sarcasm and slapstick, but what do I know?

So, where to start? Let's get the boring stuff out of the way. I'm 5'8", in pretty good shape as I play ice hockey three or more times a week (goalie), well educated and articulate, own my own home and know how to have a good time. I work in accounting but don't let that fool you, we are a wild and crazy bunch.

I enjoy Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain.

You can find me anywhere from OzzFest to the Ren Faire. Generally I get along great with everyone and have fun most everywhere I go. I'm a movie person and I have been known to talk in movie-speak. Have a membership to the Art Institute and love going to the Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier. Also have season tickets to the Chicago Fire soccer team, Go Fire!, and sit in the soccer hooligan section. They are the most fun. Avid Bears fan and support Manchester United. Love to travel and generally try to leave the country at least once per year. I brew my own mead, booze made from honey, and am getting pretty darn good at it. I make an amazing Bourbon Pecan Pie.

I enjoyed Florence much more than Rome. Something about the rolling hills and the De Medici palace that made it much more magical than the moped infested Rome. And David will awe you more than you think it could. Paris is much better than Moscow. Cleaner, brighter and much friendlier than youâ??d think. Notre Dame is glorious and St Basil's is very drab on the inside. Scandinavia looks as much like a Swiss Miss box as Switzerland. NEVER go swimming in the North Sea, funny story. Leave that to the Caribbean, namely the scuba diving off Curacao.

I'm not quite the typical guy so I'm hard to classify. Basically I'm a well rounded guy that tries to enjoy my life to the fullest, be it women, food, drink or whatever. Hedonism, with all its wonders, just wraps around me like a warm blanket on a cold night.

Ok so this is hard to do. Trying to describe oneself without sounding conceited is not an easy thing to do. The professional parts out of the way, I am a really Artsy quirky kind of person. I love to go out and take photographs of what ever catches my attention. Like reading all kinds of books that catch my fancy. Anything from the Giver lol middle school book, to what ever end up intriguing me, I think the last books I read were the twilight books because my cousins kept bugging me about it till I picked the 1st book up and it caught my attention so that is self explanatory.
Music I like almost all kinds of music, have some problems with country music but there are some that I do like, and have real big dislike to like 90% of rap music. Besides that I like anything from Blue October to Chetes, Mana, M-Flow, Catch 22, Coldplay, Delerium etc I can keep going.
Hmmmm I like Animé, but mostly stuff with a good story line and real good art. It gets real hard when there is allot of cookie cutters. Stuff I love range from Akira to Princess Mononoke.
I love martial arts and hopefully once I get my self-situated I will start again. I used to teach KENDO at SIUC when I use to go to college there for Architecture, and also studied Aikido, Karate, Judo etc.
This one is kind of a money waster but hey have to have fun right, I like Airsoft, I use to do tournament paintball but kind of started to get real expensive once I got in to college so this was my substitution from paintball lol. At least I donâ??t have to pay for paint, just thousands of little bbs.

- My name is Kenny. I was born in Hempstead/ New York City, New York and left there when I ws 6 years old, against my will. I spent the next 14 years growing up and learning about life in Houston/ Alief, Texas. I was then given a choice to stay there, or move to Chicago/ Lake in the Hills, Illinois. I chose to get out of Texas...it was a life goal and it was on my own terms.

- I'm told I'm a funny and likable guy. Easy to talk to...people tend to find themselves really comfortable with me. I don't know where it came from, but it's been like this my entire life, and I have grown to appreciate this quirk about myself. I have a decent sense of humor, but when it comes to me making people laugh, it's basically inside jokes. I feel like I'm too personal to do stand up, and if I did stand up...it'd probably bitter-yet-funny stuff about dating...because it's one of those things everyone can relate to no matter what walk of life they come from.

- I'm pretty laid back most of the time. I like to draw, but I don't do it nearly as much as I should anymore. I can't explain why this is, but I've been struggling to get myself back into the swing of things. I don't feel like this sort of thing should be a struggle. It bothers me. Movie going is something I enjoy doing a lot...in some ways, you could consider it an escape, a chance to view another "world" if you will. I'm into video games, but I know when to put the controller down and leave the house. I always valued the company of people over the company of a controller and console...but there's nothing wrong with combining the two, either! I perfer chillin' with people somewhere like a friends house or a park or something over going to a club or a bar...although I wouldn't rule out either in the case of a musical act. Speaking of which...I haven't been to a show in a good while...

- I lead a sober life. I don't call myself "straight-edge" and it bothers me when people call me that. I don't have some sort of overly dramatic reasoning for being sober...I never lost anyone to anything, it's just that I never saw the point in doing any of those things. I don't see a point in smoking ciggs because they fuck up your lungs, and I kinda like breathing. If you wanna smoke, fine...but I still think it's stupid to do that. I don't drink because I don't see the point in having to get myself "buzzed" or "fucked up" to enjoy my time...I think if you're a fun person, you don't need additives. I don't do drugs because of the after effects...much like smoking...it's just silly to me to knowingly fuck up your body like that...moderation or no. Weed...won't fuck with that either...its more pointless to me than anything else I listed...and I don't give two shits as to wether or not it should be considered a drug, or if it's more or less harmful than ciggs or anything. I just don't care. HOWEVER...I am friends with plenty of people that smoke, toke, drink, have done/do drugs...I used to be anti-everything...but there was a point in my early teenage years that I figured out the world works not in black and white, but various shades of grey. I re-evaluated my beliefs and while I still lead the sober life...I'm WAY more tolerant of others than I used to be. When it comes to a chick I would want to date...I could tolerate SOME smoking ciggs and SOME drinking...but not much else...PREFERABLY, she'd be sober too...but shit...a sober chick worth dating is extremely hard to find.

I'm an east coast guy now living the midwest life. I love to laugh and smile and much as possible and looking or someone who is easy going and doesn't sweat the small stuff like myself.

I believe in hard work but nothing more important that family and friends and taking time to have fun and relax and experience life to the fullest.

Oh the trauma of writing about yourself... Well I'm quite in love with music. Concerts are great to go to, & the more intimate the better. Generally I tend to keep a small group of friends, but that group is an awesome group. It's also a group almost completely of guys as I tend to have more interests in common with them such as certain video games. I have been known to act like an actual girl sometimes, though. *shock horror*

As much as I like hanging out with friends (it's not what you do it's who you're with, btw), I also quite enjoy & value my time to myself.

After years & years & years of asking, I finally have a dog. Her name's Dove, she's a chocolate lab / doberman pinscher, & came from a shelter. She's definitely one of the best dogs you could have, & the silliest.

Current piercings include my eyebrow, navel, and tongue. Only one tattoo so far: some lyrics from the Foo Fighters' song Aurora shaped into a heart on the back of my neck.

Motorcycles have proven to be damn fun, and not just to be on the back of. I've been learning how to ride on a Yamaha LT2 and fixing up a Suzuki GS400X.

and serinity of the great outdoors-- it makes for a great relaxing
escape, or a fun adventure! It is always fun get away to discover
and explore new places with that one special woman. I'm an intelligent,
loyal, affectionate, and witty guy~~ I live for laughter and smiles...
life is too short to be too serious all the time! I can appreciate
the simple things in life but operate quite happily in a very complex
world. so fun is high on my list of things to do~~ a playful debt
rearging current news events...that could turn into a tickle fight
or just being caught up in your eyes and arms!

I'm 24, living in the far Northwest Burbs of Chicago. I enjoy living on my own. Right now I reside in an apt, but with the housing market the way it is, when the lease is up, that could easily change. I drive a Toyota Tacoma X-Runner 6-Speed Manual Transmission Pickup. I have a steady job working for a large telecommunications company. And in my free time I tend to follow sports (Big Bears & Cubs fan, and beginning to follow the Blackhawks). I got myself a new Laptop recently, with Windows 7 (no Vista for me - yuck).

I am looking forward to the new Buffalo Wild Wings that is about to open on Highway 14/Northwest Highway here in Crystal Lake. Gotta have one of those in "stumbling" distance so to speak. Love the wings, love the beer, love the sports,, love the buzztime trivia, love the atmosphere, and so far, always loved the waitresses at ones I have been to in the past ;)

I'm a big fan of sports talk radio. My radio dial is set to 670 AM during the day on weekdays, listening to Mully & Hanley, Hampton & Holmes, Mike Murphy, and Boers & Bernstein. The shows are great.

Nighttime and on the weekends, the radio dial is on 99.5 FM for some country music. I have become a country music fan. I like the songs, the artists, the tunes, and usually the back-stories, even though they are, shall we say, sensationalized a little bit by the Nashville Country Music Promoters. But Whatever.

And I am totally ready for Spring, Baseball Season, and my Cubbies!!!
